The Don Cesar Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida is a waterfront property rich in historic character. The “Pink Palace” has housed a slew of glamorous hotel guests since it’s opening in 1928, and continues to be a landmark in South Florida. Green Olive was brought on to rebrand the hotel’s beachfront restaurant, named after the hotel’s founder Thomas Rowe. Green Olive wanted to pay tribute to the history of the hotel, while ensuring the restaurant was still casual and approachable for guests. Deliberate type choices, references to vintage nautical ephemera and a classic color palate created a brand that felt sociable, inviting, and eye-catching. All of these elements are meant to recall the charm and nostalgia of old South Florida, while catapulting Rowe Bar into the present day. Collectively, they establish a restaurant that feels right at home in the iconic Don Cesar.
