The hotel’s location is in close proximity to The Galleria, a high-end mall known for its luxury retail offerings. Because of the upscale competition in the area, the team wanted to present an approachable, but elevated hotel dining experience. Houston itself had recently experienced a sort of cultural renaissance, emerging as one of the most diverse cities in the United States. Green Olive set out with a clear mission of reimagining the local heritage accordingly.

Stray Horse already had a culinary vision in place prior to the rebranding process. This would influence much of the design, similarly honoring its Texas roots and honest mindset.
