PROCESS

The Green Olive Media communications team undertook a targeted media campaign designed to introduce the brand to writers and editors beyond the scope of the local market. We created an extensive database of recipes and corresponding high resolution photos and pitched them to publications nationwide. In order to increase the brand’s equity, Green Olive Media strategically selected off-premise culinary events that would showcase the brand’s strengths and versatility. This plan served the dual purpose of also aligning the Fox Bros. team with some of the best chefs and pitmasters in the country and increased their profile in an elite and competitive market sector. We developed elements of in-house programming and charity functions and helped promote via traditional and social media placements. Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and the Green Olive design team collaborated on the overall look and feel of menus, signage, email blasts, and point of sale graphics for the brand’s presence at Mercedes Benz Stadium, SunTrust Park, a retail line available throughout Georgia, and a shipping container turned food stall, The “Queosk”. By embracing a hand forged design aesthetic, the Green Olive design team created supporting collateral that felt true to the Fox Bros. brand. Letterpressed influences, gritty textures, and variety of carefully selected typefaces work in tandem to build branding that is consistent and recognizable, implying a brand that is hardworking, honest, and authentic.

RESULTS

Green Olive Media’s partnership with Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q has been extremely successful over the course of the relationship. Not only have we been able to meet our clients goals, but also surpass them and help to define new, increasingly ambitious targets for the brand. Media outreach has generated more than 1 billion impressions in publications including Bon Appetit, Men’s Health and Southern Living’s 50 Best BBQ Joints.  The restaurant was featured on The Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, The Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, Man vs. Food, and Food Paradise, and The Cooking Channel’s Man, Fire, Food. The Fox Bros. team has been invited to participate in some of the most elite culinary events in the country including  The Charleston Wine & Food Festival, The South Beach Food & Wine Festival, The Windy City Smokeout, and The Big Apple BBQ Block Party. Jonathan and Justin Fox, co-pitmasters and co-owners of Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q have been invited to cook at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City on three occasions. Green Olive has helped promote a charity initiative on behalf of the client, Foxeria del Sol, that has raised nearly $500,000 for families in Atlanta and North Georgia battling pediatric brain cancer. As a result of increased brand awareness, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q has become known as Atlanta’s go-to barbecue joint. In 2015, the Fox Bros. negotiated a multi-year vending deal with the Atlanta Falcons to become the Official Barbecue of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United Football Club. The retail line, which began with sauce sold out of the restaurant, is now in Publix, Kroger, Whole Foods, and Walmart locations throughout the Southeast.

TESTIMONIAL

“In reference to Green Olive Media, in the 11 years of our business we have been a client of Green Olive Media going on 9 years. In a town with numerous agencies, Green Olive was our first interview and hopefully our last. From public relations to design, GOM has been a great partner, so much so that they are now family.” - Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q
